Spring 2017 Baozhong


Baozhong is a lightly oxidized and curled oolong. It comes from the Wenshan mountains, in Taipei, Taiwan. The most well known area of Baozhong production is Pinglin, which is where we source ours from.

I first met the family that produces our Baozhong 6 years ago when I was wandering around Pinglin. In November, I had the opportunity to go back and reconnect while I was there sourcing teas.

Origin: Pinglin, Taiwan
Harvest: April 25-30, 2017
Flavor notes: Light floral bitters, light sugar cane sweetness, vegetal

Recommended brewing:
4g of tea; 130ml of water
90 degrees celcius
1.5 minute first infusion
